Merison and GF Forming Solutions establish die-casting production base in the United States

On June 12, 2024, Merison Technology announced that its subsidiary, MILLION INC., has completed the acquisition of 100% equity in MILLION CASTING TECHNOLOGY LLC, a US company held by SLWA Automotive, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ningbo Shenglong Automotive Power Systems Co., Ltd. Meilixin Technology stated that this acquisition is based on the company's development strategy and international business planning needs, aiming to save factory construction time, significantly shorten production and supply periods, and thus give Meilixin an advantageous position in overseas layout.

On July 18 of the same year, Merison Technology announced its plan to increase its wholly-owned subsidiary MCT Merison Die Casting Technology Co., Ltd. in the United States by $56.972 million. This fund will be used for equipment purchase, factory renovation and expansion, and daily production and operation, and will be fully included in MCT's registered capital. At the end of the year, three die-casting machines ranging from 1650-3500T departed from Haitian Zhisheng Metal's Ningbo factory and headed to Merison Technology's US factory.

In May 2024, Swiss GF Casting Solutions announced that it would invest $184 million to return to the US market and plan to establish a new high-pressure die-casting (HPDC) factory in Augusta, Georgia, with an expected start of production in 2026. It is reported that the factory will introduce large-scale die-casting equipment, including 6100T die-casting machines. The 6100T die-casting island of its Shenyang die-casting factory in China has completed trial molding and been put into use in November 2024.
